Captains' Corner 

Hello everyone!! 

What a start we have had this year, it was so great to see everyone taking part in the swimming carnival, it was amazing to see everyone embracing their House by showing off their House colours and representing each House with pride.  We hope that everyone had fun on the day and created those memories you’ll never forget with your friends and also stepping outside your comfort zone and actually taking part in events.  We are both proud of you all. We look forward to the up-coming Athletics Carnival. Make sure to once again represent your House through events or dressing up in your House colours and showing your House spirit. One of the upcoming events we are looking forward to is Harmony Day, a celebration of diversity and unity. Harmony day is a day which aims to celebrate everybody’s cultural identity and background and to foster a spirit of inclusiveness and respect. We are very lucky (as a school community) to have a vast array of cultures to celebrate, learn about and interact with. This diversity, among other things gives us more exposure to other cultures and faiths, which gives us a chance to be more understanding and receptive, enabling us to be better members of society overall. Don’t forget to wear orange or cultural dress on Harmony Day!
