Harmony Day 2023

On the 21st of March, Marangaroo students came together in various ways to celebrate everyone’s culture and the importance of being kind and respectful to all.

Students from Emus and Kookaburras learnt a song that they performed at a brief assembly with special guest Natasha Eldridge, an Indigenous musician. Then all the students enjoyed a special canteen lunch.

Another important initiative to celebrate Harmony Day was the painting of the benches near the office orange and then adding the students’ names and hand prints as a permanent memorial to all our unique students.

Thank you to Miss Watkin and Mrs Rogers for all their hard work preparing the benches for this activity. Many classes completed activities that reflected the theme ‘EVERYONE BELONGS”.

We hope everyone enjoyed the day and we can’t wait for an even bigger celebration next year!
