Student Leadership

Women's Day Gala

On the 8th of March, two of our school captains attended an International Women’s Day Gala Dinner at Gledswood Hills Homestead and Winery. Here they met many other aspiring women in leadership positions. It was an amazing opportunity to acknowledge the hard-working women in our community and their contributions. The keynote speaker Naomi Simson Australian Entrepreneur, Author, Speaker and Shark on the Shark Tank TV show, shared her experience as a woman in business and a mother, as well as the importance of embracing equity in all facets of society. The girls were very thankful for the opportunity to attend this event and be inspired by women within our local community.

Peer Mentoring

Peer mentoring is continuing this week. Our student leaders are continuing to build connections with Year 7 and help with their transition to Camden High. Feedback from students has been overwhelmingly positive so far!

Sustainnovation Challenge

A select group of student leaders attended the Sustainnovation Challenge with Wollondilly Shire Council. They were tasked with merging data and art to explore our community story. They worked collaboratively and presented a terrific idea to the Mayor and several council members and were lucky enough to take out the second place!
