Support Faculty Snapshot

We have had a busy start to 2023 in the Support Faculty.

We have kicked off the year of learning with lots of great activities. In Science students are making Conceptual Models of the Human Body and have been learning about photosynthesis. In English students have been analysing conflict, linking it with History learning about the Holocaust and World War 2. Year 11 and 12 are participating in TVET courses in Primary Industries, Hospitality, Retail, Construction and online Screen and Media. These occur at Campbelltown and Miller TAFE.

Workplace Learning is starting shortly with students heading out to Work Experience at local businesses such as Bunnings, Flower Power, Vabys and another completing a Work Placement at the Veterinary  Hospital.

Students have been revamping our Faculty Garden and have a new worm farm in our lunchtime Garden Club. We have been enjoying tomatoes, beans, lettuce, bok choy and strawberries grown by our students.

This week is Harmony Week and we are celebrating diversity and acceptance with teamwork games, a faculty morning tea, Dreamtime Stories and mindfulness activities.
