Our Faith - Religious Education

Mrs Jessica Scully

We are in the season of LENT

A time of preparation for the feast of Easter. During Lent, we give special attention to prayer (attending to quality more so than quantity), fasting (emptying ourselves that we may be filled with the life and love of Christ) and good deeds (not to win admiration for ourselves but to help others). Though it has a penitential character, Lent is a joyful season as we anticipate the resurrection of the Lord.

Easter Prayer Assembly - Wednesday 5th April

We invitie parents and friends to join our classes to celebrate an Easter Prayer Assembly on Wednesday 5/4/23. Infants (Kindergarten to Year 2) will present from 10:15am - 10:45am at school and  Primary (Years 3-6) will present after morning tea at 11:30am-12:15pm in the Cathedral.

Vale -  Mr Gary McSweeney

This week the Armidale Diocese lost one of its leaders, Mr Gary McSweeney. Gary was the Principal of St Edwards School for 26 years. He then worked in the Catholic Schools Office. Gary was also instrumental in Diocesan, Polding and PSSA sports pioneering many opportunities for students in rural communities. Gary's funeral will be Friday afternoon in Tamworth. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this sad time.
