‘Relationships, Safety and Bullying’ Surveys

Please note that students, parents/carers and staff will have the opportunity to participate in the annual survey later this week. An email will be sent to members of the College community on Friday morning providing a link that will allow access to the survey, which will take approximately five to ten minutes to complete. The surveys will be open until 11:00 PM on Tuesday 4 April.

Students will be given the opportunity in their survey to anonymously report occasions of bullying during 2023.

Similar surveys have been conducted in past years, providing the opportunity for longitudinal comparisons. The data provided in the responses from students, parents/carers and staff will be extremely useful in providing further evidence to affirm current practices while also giving feedback on how the College can develop in the areas identified within the survey.

‘Safe on Social’ Cybersafety Presentations

Forward notice to parents/carers that there will be a cyber safety presentation given to parents at the Parents’ and Friends’ Forum on Wednesday 24 May. Students in the Junior School, Years 7, 8, and 12 will be given the opportunity earlier in the day to hear from our Parents’ and Friends’ Forum presenter, Amy Haddadi, about a range of aspects linked to being responsible users and being safe on social media.

Details and links will be provided in future editions of the Especean indicating where ‘Fact Sheets’ can be found on the topics covered by the presentations.
