Preps at Ricketts Point
The Prep students enjoyed a wonderful day at Ricketts Point this week. God blessed us with a beautiful sunny day and we loved all of the activities. We learnt about the importance of putting our rubbish in the bin so it doesn't find its way to the sea and had fun exploring the rock pools. We found a couple of little crabs and a flathead (no longer alive!) on the shore.
Some of the other interesting discoveries were shark eggs, sea stars, a seahorse (no longer alive), lovely shells, sea sponges and even a blue ringed octopus (dead in a jar!).
The highlight of the day was definitely a paddle in the cool sea and building fantastic sand sculptures. Many "mermaids" enjoyed a rest on the sand while their friends designed their tails. Only a few prep children were asleep on the bus when we got back to school!
