LIBRARY ESCAPE ROOM CHALLENGE
To celebrate the end of Book Club for 2019 students were invited to complete our Escape Room Challenge. Each team was given a scenario, in which a rich old widow (Lady Penelope Sutton-Grange) had hidden a treasure map in her study. The teams were then asked to find clues, solve puzzles and open locks in order to find the hidden map, and so thwart the hopes of Lady Penelope’s avaricious relatives.

Yr 7 & 8 - T20 Cricket
Year 7 Girls
T20 cricket was a fun experience. Although we lost both our games, we still had a great time and enjoyed playing. The team consisted of Rose Warr, Mischa Griffiths, Scout Simpson-Purden, Kite Kunzea, Ivy Brown, Ciera McKenzie, Sarah McLean, Emma-Lee Jury and Matilda Craigen. We as a team would like to thank Miss Squire for organising the day and Miss Walsh and Mr Edwards for coming along on the day.
Year 7 Boys
On Wednesday the 6th of November the year 7 and 8 girls and boys went on a bus to Ballarat to the T20 Cricket. At the venue (Victoria Park) we went through the rules and then start the carnival. The first game was against Ballarat High. We started off pretty good and then we didn’t do so well. The final scores were 49-94. We only had two games in our age group. The second game we played MCC. After batting pretty well in the first innings our hopes were pretty high. But in the end it was our fielding that let us down. After a while of waiting, assuming we didn’t make the finals the convenor came over to tell us that MCC had been disqualified for having year 8’s playing in their team, so we had made the grandfinal without winning a single game! The grand final was against Ballarat again, and the result was about the same.
We would like to thank Mr Edwards and Miss Walsh for taking us, and Miss Squire for organising the day.

On Wednesday the 6th November our year eight girls teams went to Ballarat to play in the T20 cricket carnival. Our team members included Marni, Eve, Rose, Laura, Tori, Amelia, Emma and Rosa. We won two out the three games we played and missed out on the grand final by seven runs.
Overall it was a really good day and enjoyed by everyone.
