Students making sandwiches for Eat Up Australia
Starting from Feb 7, the Coles Sports for Schools program is giving schools across Australia the opportunity to earn sports gear just by collecting vouchers from Coles.
If you are a Coles shopper, you can collect vouchers for us just by doing your regular shop!
How it works:
Step 1: For every $10 spent at Coles, customers will receive one Sports for Schools voucher (exclusions apply).
Step 2: Families can then bring vouchers to School. There are Sports for School collection bins at Main Reception and Junior School Reception.
Step 3: Every voucher received will go towards our tally. We will then be able to order the sports equipment our School needs to the value of your vouchers.
The final day you can bring your vouchers to School is 11 May.

This year Kilvington has partnered with Eat Up Australia to help provide lunches for students in schools in metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria, who would otherwise go hungry.
Eat Up started in a home kitchen in Shepparton, delivering 100 sandwiches to a nearby school. They now deliver 1000s of sandwiches to well over 100 schools.
Throughout 2018, every secondary student in Kilvington will donate some of their time to making sandwiches. Our first session, saw 40 Kilvington students in Years 8 and 9 make 1000 sandwiches in just 45 minutes.

Whether it is starting school for the first time, moving up to a higher grade or embarking on a journey through secondary school, there is no doubt that any school transition is a very exciting time for children and parents. It means your children are growing up!
However, transitioning is an ongoing process. It can continue long after students have entered their new environment and may encounter difficulties at a number of different stages. These stressors may appear as anxiety and frustration and result in negative or disruptive behaviours. Such behaviours can become problematic making the transitioning process even more difficult for children and parents.
In this edition of SchoolTV, parents will learn practical strategies to assist your child during the transition process and reduce stress and anxiety levels. We hope you take time to reflect on the information offered in this month's edition and we always welcome your feedback.
If you have any concerns about your child, please contact the school counsellor for further information.
