The Addams Family: School Edition

The production team would like to thank all the students and staff who have expressed their interest in becoming involved in this year’s production.

Throughout the audition and casting process, it was clearly evident that St Albans Secondary College has an array of talents and expertise throughout singing, dancing and acting. We have casted all the roles within the musical including some of our consistent members, as well as new members who are eager to begin their experience within MAC.

If you would like to become involved in this year’s production but have missed the audition process, please see Ms. Simoes or Ms. Marie in the staffroom as there are a number of roles (acting, singing and/or dancing) available within the ensemble cast.

The cast and crew in 2019 have displayed great enthusiasm in the beginning processes of the production as we begin. Our first rehearsal was held on Friday, 22 March at 3:30pm in the Performing Arts reading the script of ‘The Addams Family’.

On Tuesday, 26 March, a meeting was held in the Performing Arts at 12:50pm (lunch time) relating to student led roles in Backstage.

If you are interested in getting involved in MAC but do not wish to be in the cast, please come along to any information sessions to learn about positions within backstage. This may involve information about:

  • Sets
  • Props
  • Makeup
  • Sound technicians
  • Lighting Technicians and more.

If you have any questions relating to this meeting, please see Mr. Nishioka or Ms. Azmitia.

On behalf of Ms. Simoes and Ms. Marie, we would like to welcome our new staff members to the MAC production team; Mr. Nishioka as stage manager, Ms. Azmitia as props manager and Ms. Kemeridis as a dance choreographer.

Thank you to all staff and students for the continued support.

Ms Emily Simoes
