Years 7 Camp

Year 7 camps are well and truly underway. Each class, accompanied by their teachers, heading off to our Strathbogie Camp to enjoy three days of group bonding, fun physical activities and the chance to live the country life and breath in that lovely fresh air. Year 7 camps will continue all the way through Term one and two, concluding in June. Read some of the amazing experiences from the students themselves below.

Mt Wombat, a beautiful orange and yellow sunset view greeted us as we were standing on top of Mt Wombat. The view was spectacular. We could not take our eyes off the sky, we saw a lot of starts scattered everywhere. Some of us even spotted satellites. After spending time at Mt Wombat, our class decided to walk back to the bus. We were all extremely tired because the walk was very steep

The class of 7D went to Roz’s farm where they ate delicious scones and cakes that Roz had baked for them. They played with her 2 dogs, Chucky and Cherry. They also visited some of her other farm animals, such as horses! We had a fantastic time and they hope to go again soon

One thing that I loved about the camp is that the whole site is very open; there are a lot of opportunities to talk with friends or just hang out. I absolutely loved the dog that wandered around, we named her Boba and she’s the only dog I will never forget

On the 20 of February, 7D was on our 2nd day of camp. We spent the day trying different water activities, such as: Stand-up paddle boarding, paddle boats, canoeing, kayaking and some people just went swimming in the water. The girls on the stand-up paddle boats kept jumping off splashing everyone around the, but the best part was watching Aiden fall of his kayak then get back on, then fall straight off again
