2019 Highlights

2019 has been a year of great achievements for our Student Representative Council.

There has been a far greater connection between student ideas, class meetings, SRC meetings and School Council. As a result there have been many new initiatives across the school over the past 12 months

Key achievements have been:

  • Year 12 Bomber Jackets
  • Consultation with architects over new building.
  • More comprehensive and fair SRC selection process
  • Gaga Court retention and relocation
  • Out of uniform day fundraising
  • Increased lunchtime clubs
  • Installation of Torres Island flag and conduct smoking ceremony
  • More effective yard music selection process
  • Basketball hoop and backboard for Upper Primary students
  • Establishment of a “Friendship Seat” in Upper Primary
  • Removal of concrete blocks within of Secondary 7/8 Basketball court area.

 

Thank you to Kylie Lewin (School Council Rep) and Karen Jordan (SRC Secretary) for all their help during the year but most of all thank you our fantastic SRC students.
