Teaching and Learning in 3G

3G have had a wonderful start to the school year. Students have been focusing on settling in to the classroom routines and building meaningful friendships with their peers. We have enjoyed playing games, our favourite so far is Memory Tag!

Over the last week we have been very busy immersing ourselves into learning. In Mathematics, we have been revising the four processes and using Newman Prompts to answer worded problems to get ourselves back into the groove when interpreting information in a question. In Writing, we have been developing characters and settings for a story focusing on using AMAZING adjectives to describe each one.

In Reading, we have been learning about SQ3R Strategy (Scanning, Questions, Reading, Recording, Reviewing) and how to use it to find information in a text we have read. We enjoy using our new highlighters and working together in groups to do this. 

In 3G we love coming to school and learning!
