Senior School

Grade 3 -6

The grade 3's have had a great start to the year and are enjoying learning about narrative writing in literacy. Students imagined finding an object which takes them on a magical adventure. We can't wait to find out where there journeys will take them!

Inquiry Learning has been a keen favourite in the grade 4 classroom this term where students are exploring First Nations People and their connection to country.  Conducting research and working collaboratively has been significantly enhanced by access to the BYOD program.

Grade 5/6A are enjoying their turn at the Kitchen and Garden classes this term. In these sessions, students display excellent communication and interpersonal skills, working as a team in following a given recipe to create ‘Master Chef’ worthy dishes. They are also learning to apply important mathematical skills in measurement in a real-life context.

Grade 5/6S have begun their inquiry into how Australia became a nation. Students have asked very interesting questions relating to Federation and are gaining an understanding of the key events that took place between 1770 and 1915. The ability to investigate through the use of a broad range of research tools and access resources in the Google Classroom has been possible due to the implementation of our BYOD program.

We wish our students competing in this week's WESA Swimming Carnival and next week's WESA Interschool Sport matches the best of luck.
