From the Principal's Desk...

Dear Parents and Carers

It was wonderful to come together as a school community on Tuesday to celebrate our Welcoming Mass at St Helena's with Fr Bona. Congratulations to all our Year 6 Captains who were formally installed to their positions at the conclusion of Mass. We look forward to working with them throughout the year and all our Year 6 students, as they are all leaders in our school. It was great to see many parents and carers at the Mass too.

A reminder that Parent Information Sessions are taking place next Tuesday 21 February, with 2 repeated sessions running at 6:15pm and 6:45pm. I hope that all our families can be represented on the evening and can come and learn more about what is happening in your child/ren's class in 2023 at St Helena's. I would like to introduce myself personally and welcome you to the new school year at 6:00pm in the Undercover Area on this evening if you are able to make the earlier session. Thanks in advance to our wonderful teachers for the time and effort that they put in to preparing the sessions, along with everything else they do at the beginning of the school year.

Our first P&F Meeting is taking place on Wednesday 22 February at 6:00pm. It would be great to have lots of parents/carers join us as we look at what we can do in 2023 for the students and families in our school community. We have our first Catholic School Advisory Council meeting coming up on Tuesday 28 February at 6:00pm too. Looking forward to involving our parents and carers and learning more about what we can all offer at St Helena's for the benefit of all our students.

Next week we head into Lent with Shrove Tuesday and Ash Wednesday. Looking forward to our first Faction Patron Liturgy on Tuesday 28 February, as we celebrate Neumann.

Please keep all our students and children in the Parish preparing for a Sacrament this year in your prayers.

There is lots of information in our eNewsletter, please take the time to familiarise yourself with what is happening around our beautiful school.

At St Helena's, we are a Christ-centred and a child-focused community, always striving to do Something Beautiful for God.

Peace & Happy Days!
