Year 11 VCAL students participated in a number of financial literacy workshops over two days held by Startsmart.

Smart Earning covered topics ranging from obtaining your first job, award wages, tax thresholds and employee rights and responsibilities.
Smart Spending covered concepts such as emotional motives behind financial decisions, strategies for spending wisely and examining the value of a potential purchase. The Smart Saving workshop focused on the value of saving 30% of your earnings.
Smart Enterprise examined the characteristics of entrepreneurial thinking and how students can apply these insights in their own lives.
