Junior School Council
The Junior School Council is proud to report that the Miners Rest Primary School Community has raised $479.00 for The Ballarat Regional Integrated Cancer Centre (BRICC) from our Footy Colours Day on the final day of term 3. Well done everyone!
On Friday, December 6th the Junior School Council will be running a festive event to raise money to purchase new basketball rings for our school. On this day, all staff and students can come to school wearing something Christmas related for a gold coin donation. Some ideas include: a touch of tinsel, Santa Claus, a Christmas present, an elf, a Christmas themed tee shirt or a reindeer; please let your imaginations run wild!
2019 Year Book competition
All students are invited to let their imaginations run wild and enter their artwork in our 2019 Year Book front and back cover competition. Please submit all entries on A4 paper to the office no later than Friday, November 15 at 3.30pm. Two winning entries will appear on the front and back cover of the 2019 Year Book and will receive a free copy of the 2019 Year Book.
Donations for our Kitchen Garden Program
Donations of liquid hand soap, dishwashing liquid, laundry powder/liquid and plain flour are politely requested at this time. Please place all donations in the basket at the office. Please note, these donations will only be used for the Kitchen Garden Program, not for Café 1739.
Lunch order reminder
Please remember to submit all Friday lunch orders before 9.00am on Tuesdays.
The new additions to our Friday lunches have been extremely popular! From Friday, November 15th Vegetable Risotto will also join the menu. This is a gluten free and vegetarian option that can also be dairy free if you elect not to have parmesan cheese. The Vegetable Risotto will be prepared by Mrs Cosgriff and will replace the Vegetarian Sausage Rolls and Vegetarian Pasties.
Café 1739 hours of operation
Mondays: 8.45-10.00 and 2.45pm-3.35pm.
Thursdays: 8.45-10.00 and 2.45pm-3.35pm.
Fridays: 8.45-9.30.
