FRESH PICKS
TEEN:
- The Como Chronicles books 1, 2 & 3: Twell and the Army of Powers, Twell and the Rebellion, and Twell and the Uprising by Kate O’Leary
- Twell is a high school student with telekinetic powers. On her home planet of Como, where The Governing Body controls its population with strict rules, Twell is to be genetically partnered with a boy who is a stranger to her, but she is in love with her best friend. With comedy, suspense, romance and mystery in an off-planet world, this is one of the best dystopian books I have ever read. (Kate O’Leary is the daughter of Brian O’Leary, chaplain at Edenhope College.)
