Harmony Day

Harmony Day was celebrated on Thursday March 21 at Edenhope College. The students were invited to wear an item of orange clothing and enjoyed several different activities during the day.  There was a special focus this year on the positives we experience in our classrooms, friendships, our communities and as a nation when are open to accepting our own and others differences. EVERYONE BELONGS was our theme for the day.

I went to Harmony Day and my favourite thing was cooking. I liked it because there was a lot of fun things to do. In my group was Marcus, Matilda, Lily, Caleigh, Bridie and Alex. Ayla Domaschenz, Year 2

At Edenhope College on the 21/3/19, we all celebrated Harmony Day with four activities. My favourite was the art and the way we celebrate with peace. In my group we had Sean, Harry and Mason. I had so much fun that the time flew by. I love Harmony Day because we did a whole heap of fun stuff. Bailey Hartas, Year 3

I reckon my favourite activity was using my hands to paint the Harmony Day sign. There were some other activities like cooking, booklets and singing. It was on March 21st.  Mason Colgate, Year 2

On Thursday it was Harmony Day. I tasted fruit from around the world. I loved the fruit, especially the blood plums. I also got to glue faces on the banner. I enjoyed Harmony Day. Matilda Steiner, Year 2

On Thursday 21 March, Edenhope College celebrated Harmony Day and most people dressed in orange for it. My group leader was Merrin. My favourite lesson was the first one when we, as a group, went to the cooking room to learn about where food came from. Then we tasted fruit blind folded. I also enjoyed the last activity where we practised songs and also did sign language.

On the day, i felt really happy because we got to work together and do lots of things together as well. I had so much fun. Caleigh Munn, Year 4
