Swim School Cancellation
Due to unforeseen circumstances, swim school will not be going ahead as planned this year.
Unfortunately, the Newton Street pool is being renovated and has not been completed during the expected time frame. As a result, we will not be able to use the pool for lessons this year. We were unable to find an alternative venue for our lessons to occur.
Money that has been paid for swim school will become fees in advance. This means that the money will not be refunded at this time but used to pay for things as they arise, such as school fees or excursions. If you feel you need this money reimbursed as a refund can you please contact Lisa in the front office to discuss how this can be arranged for you.
I apologise that we will not be able to offer swim lessons for your child or children this year and look forward to next year when we will be able to get wet!

Kindergarten 2020- Enrolments Now Being Taken
Burke Ward Public School is currently taking new Kindergarten enrolments.
Visit our school office or call to register your child for Kindergarten in 2020.
You can enrol your child in Kindergarten at the beginning of the school year if they turn 5 on, or before, 31 July of that year. Students must be enrolled by their sixth birthday.
If you know of any children who will be of school age this coming year, please encourage their family members to call or register.
This week in our Little Burkies Orientation program, students will stay until 12pm and will need to bring a hat, crunch and sip and lunch.
Canteen News
With the end of term coming near we will be closing all canteen online ordering as of Wednesday 27th November 2019, this will mean you will need to place an over-the-counter order.
If you have funds in myschool connect you may withdraw them by pressing on balance, withdraw and then nominate which account you would like them to go to.

The last day operation for the canteen will be Wednesday 4th December. We would like thank all of our volunteers and families who have supported the canteen this year.
