Bonjour à tous!

J’espère que vous avez passé de bonnes vacances (I hope you had a nice holiday).

In French, all Grades are starting a new topic this Term….

• In Prep, the students had their first lesson on numbers 1-10. In the next couple of weeks, they will practise saying and writing them through a range of games and activities.
• In Grades 1T and 1/2D, we are focusing on numbers 11-20. After our first lesson, the students worked in teams to find the numbers on a Word Search grid.
• In Grades 2/3A and 3/4S, we will spend the next few weeks learning a French song, ‘Chez nous’  (at home) that will be presented at Assembly when the students will be ready.
• Finally, the Grade 5/6 students are learning new vocabulary about sports and are practising, orally and in writing, full sentences such as ‘Je fais du cheval’ (I ride a horse) or ‘Je joue au foot’ (I play soccer).  Last week they acted out sports charades. The rest of the class had to write down the matching sentences and the winners were rewarded with ClassDojo points that will count towards the end of year Achievement Prize.
