Our hospitality students are busy planning some delicious meals for the last few weeks of term. A special lunch service is being offered on Monday 24 June; however bookings are essential via the Hospitality Coordinator, Susan Leach on 9495 8164. Pre-bookings for the breakfast service are always appreciated. Please bring your own mug for coffees. 

 

Tuesday 18 June, 8:30 am to 9:30 am

Buffet breakfast (bacon, sausages, eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, sour dough toast and orange juice) - $6

Coffees - $2.50

Teas - $2.00

Price is per head and bookings are requested on 9495 8164.

 

Monday 24 June, 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm (Lunch Service)

Two course meal including a mocktail and tea/coffee - $10

Bookings are essential on 9495 8164.

 

Thursday 27 June, 8:30 am to 9:30 am

Zucchini fritters with bacon and roasted tomato - $4

Coffee - $2.50

Tea - $2

 

Tuesday 2 July, 8:30 am to 9:30 am

Kedgeree (Grains with hot smoked salmon and poached eggs) - $4

College of Electrical Training Open Day

Are you interested in a career in the electrical industry?

The College of Electrical Training invites students and their families to visit their nearest campus in Joondalup or Jandakot on Saturday 22 June from 9:30am - 1:00pm.

Schools are regularly hiring people for the following roles:

  • Gardener, cleaner, administration, management, canteen or as education assistants.

Starting in July 2019, North Metropolitan TAFE are running a one semester course on the skills required to be a successful candidate for employment in a school.  The course aids in preparation for entry into gardening, cleaning, administration, management, canteen and education assistant work.

 

We have had huge success supporting people to find work and the chances of gaining employment are strong.  This course is suitable for existing gardeners, cleaners, administrators etc., and people looking to change career or people looking for work.

 

The course includes:

  • Training in skills specific to the role you are interested in e.g. gardening, cleaning and IT skills
  • Work experience in a school or other organisation
  • Help and support to find work
  • Help accessing further training as required e.g. Certificate III in Education Support
  • Development of your job application cover letter, resume and help with selection criteria

Entry requirements:

  • Strong work ethic
  • Good oral and written communication
  • Must be able to read procedures, safety sheets and chemical bottles
  • Successful completion of an entry interview
  • Working With Children Check and a Police Clearance

Course details:

  • 3 days per week - Starts Tuesday 23 July finishes Friday 13 December (20 weeks)
  • Days - Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 9:15 until 2:45
  • Cost – Approximately $180 (total course fee for full 20 weeks)
  • Location - based in Leederville and on site
