Resource Centre NEWS

The Resource Centre is starting the new school term by displaying items from our Classic Novel collection. There is such a great range of these novels, which embrace a great many genres including crime, romance, adventure, science fiction, fantasy, war stories, mystery and historical fiction. Authors include, Louisa May Alcott, Jane Austen, Charlotte Bronte, Emily Bronte, Harper Lee, Joan Lindsay, Sylvia Plath, Mary Shelley, Harriett Beecher Stowe, J.M. Barrie, Joseph Conrad, Charles Dickens, F. Scott Fitzgerald, William Golding, Ernest Hemingway, George Orwell, John Steinbeck and Mark Twain, to name just a few.

 

Come in and discover these wonderful classic novels and stories that will take you to faraway lands, give you a glimpse into the lives of others, provide you with an abundance of enjoyment while also building your vocabulary and capacity in reading and writing.

 

A new series of coding books has also arrived as well as more books of facts, biographies and supercars and fast fiction, suggested by the students. There is so much to learn and share through books, so come into the Resource Centre and stock up on all those good reads.

Year 7 IPAD Holder Design Overview

This unit provides students with the experience to learn the design process and develop their designing skills. From generation of ideas and the use of mind maps to sketching of initial ideas and scaled drawings. Students are also presented with the opportunity of working in the workshop and learning the necessary skills and techniques to construct their chosen design.

Students are presented with an organiser theme which is appropriate for the workshop which has been allocated to the group.
