REPORT OF THE ROUNDS
10/5/16
The 2016 season has started with a bang. I think Melbourne are performing a lot better than expected. GWS are flying through the season with only one game lost, at round six. Freemantle are yet to have a win which is surprising as they performed so well last season, with Nat Fyfe gone it will be very hard for them to win a game. Essendon had their first and last win against Melbourne. Even though they are not as scrappy as years gone by they will struggle with the rest of the season. Swans have a great chance of making the Grand Final with Lance Franklin leading the goal kicking and Luke Parker playing amazing as usual. North Melbourne are sitting pretty on top of the ladder but can their winning streak continue. Geelong is sitting a close second and with the inclusion of Patrick Dangerfield they are real contenders for the flag.
Collingwood, Brisbane Lions and Richmond are all struggling at the bottom of the ladder and have yet to find real form. Carlton have three wins so far and the new coach Brendon Bolton has given his players new enthusiasm. Port Adelaide, Westcoast and the Crows are flying under the radar with no great form to report on.
Lets hope the next few rounds will mix it up a bit and give us some excitement.
