Sport and School Activity Levy
Just a little reminder to pay the Sport and School Activity Levy if you haven't already done so. This levy covers buses to and from the Primary Campus, to and from sporting events, Gymnastics, Tennis and the hire of both the swimming pool and athletics track. Please check on your Compass portal whether this needs to be updated.
Armidale Diocesan Cricket
Congratulations to Cooper Jones and Felicity Shields for making it into the Diocesan Teams for Cricket. The pair will be competing in the Polding Trials to be held in Tamworth on Friday 26th August, 2022.

Oz Tag
Draws
Draws are no longer handed out due to changes that can be made to divisions at any time throughout the competition. Please go to the Oztag website for times.
St Edward's Basketball
Last Thursday we saw four of our basketball teams compete in the grand final in their respective divisions. St Edward’s Opals, 3/4 girls, went down 8-6 in their best result of the season against Timbumburi.
St Edward’s Hawks, 5/6 girls, played extremely well. They went down 24-19, coming back from 22-4 at half time. “The girls played really well and should be very proud of their efforts”.
The St Edward's Cyclones played in the finals against South Tamworth Sixers 5/6A competition. Great team effort, all the skills they have learnt along the way had truly come together, the boys displayed great team spirit. The boys came home with the win 21 to 29!! Thank you for all the St Edwards supporters for cheering the team along.
St Edwards Leopards won their grand final 41-20 against Tintinhull. These two teams have been battling for the top spot all season. “A great game boy both teams. Well done boys”.
The new Summer Comp is now open for players to join teams.
Note: Only new teams need nominate. Teams from the Winter Comp (1st Comp) are already carried over into the 2nd comp. Same team codes apply, players need to join team again & pay fees via this link
Please notify Mrs Gippel immediately if any of our St Edward's teams will not be playing in the new comp so I can remove them from the Summer Comp
Rugby League - Toni Palmer Memorial Shield
St Edward's School is sending a team to compete in the first annual Toni Palmer Memorial Shield being held in Inverell on Wednesday 29th June. This is a pathway opportunity to the Independent and Catholic Primary Schools Challenge. The Northern Semi-Final will be held in Port Macquarie on Thursday 4th August. The winning team will progress through to this game. We would like to wish Mr Casson and our St Ed's team the best of luck for their games and we are looking forward to hearing all about their experience.

The Armidale Diocesan Primary Sports Council is a body representative of the Catholic Education Office, Principals and Sports Coordinators from all Diocesan Primary Schools. The ADPSC offers a pathway for Armidale Diocesan students in most sports.
