Pink Day
Prep to Year 12
The Good News community comes together on Wednesday 22 June to show support for people fighting breast cancer.
On Pink Day students from Prep to Year 12 are encouraged to dress up in pink outfits or wear a pink accessory and bring a gold coin donation, which will be donated to the "Otis Foundation", an organisation who provide a free retreat for breast cancer patients.
This year especially, Pink Day hits remarkably close to many students and teachers, as a beloved staff member fights against breast cancer. In support of this teacher and all those we know who have fought this battle, students will be running a Teacher vs Student game and dedicating the day to all breast cancer patients. As Galatians 6:2 says, "Carry each other's burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ". This emphasises the importance of being by one another's side through hard times.
As a community, the College Captains encourage the students to help fulfill Christ's word by showing support for people fighting and surviving breast cancer.
