Boarding News

Mrs. Kathryn Searle - Head of Boarding

Thank you for a wonderful term that has been jam-packed with activities, sports, assessments and block exams.  Well done to the girls with their dedication to their studies and thank you to our staff for their support and dedication to our girls.

It was great to meet some of our new boarders for 2023 at this week’s subject selection evenings and the Year 7 Experience Day.  Attending as many school events as possible leading up to commencement at a new school is brilliant for familiarisation and makes the transition seamless, especially when boarding is going to be your new home.

I am very much looking forward to further renovations to the Boarding House throughout the upcoming holiday break including a new front door and some interior painting.

Boarders’ return day for Term 3 is Sunday 10 July.  We will be in-house from 10:00 am on this day.  Please remind the girls of the uniform policy upon their return from holidays:  natural coloured hair; no acrylic nails; and no other piercings other than one sleeper or stud earring only per ear.

Please also be reminded, as per our Medication Policy in the Boarding House, if we provide medication for your daughter, it will be kept safely in our First Aid Room and administered accordingly.  Students are not to hold medications in their rooms.  Attached is the Medication Permission form for completion by parents/carers if you require us to administer medication.

I look forward to catching up with our Central Queensland and North Queensland families in Emerald at Ag-Grow next week and Townsville and Charters Towers the second week of the holidays.

Happy holidays!
