Gallery Walks

Thank you to all parents and caregivers who were able to attend the recent Primary Gallery Walks. The Gallery Walks were a wonderful opportunity for the students to showcase their learning with their families offering time for feedback and reflection. Thank you, especially to Year 6, who produced a wonderful afternoon sharing their vast knowledge of important figures from history.

Fun Run

Thank you to the P&F for organising such a successful Fun Run on Sunday. We are very grateful to our President Rae Morris, Secretary Charlotte Reichard and their amazing team of parents who always give so generously of their time and resources to coordinate such memorable events for our students. The Disco and Amazing Race were particular highlights with Clare Cattanach organising some fabulous obstacle races. Thank you also to the generosity of our sponsors who gave us wonderful prizes to raffle on the day.

Year 5’s Visit to the Clayfield College Boarding School

As part of our English program, we have studied Roald Dahl’s novel Boy. In this novel, we learnt about Dahl’s experiences at boarding school in 1929. We visited the Clayfield College Boarding School as a compare and contrast activity. We were warmly welcomed by the boarding house staff, who took us on a tour, answered our questions and provided us with a delicious morning tea of freshly baked cookies. Throughout our tour we could see that boarding in 2022 was fun, homely and the staff were caring and kind. On returning to school, we wrote a compare, contrast essay highlighting the differences between now and 1929.

Under 8’s Morning

Last Friday the Pre-Prep to Year 3 children enjoyed a morning of play to celebrate being Under 8! The children roamed freely and enjoyed kite making, face painting, badminton, chalk drawing, origami, sandpit play and much, much more! They even contributed to a new vision for an updated Pre-Prep and Prep playground! Thank you to the teachers and parent helpers who contributed to the success of the morning.
