Well, we certainly did Shine Together yesterday for the inaugural Clayfield College Foundation Giving Day. 

 

On behalf of the Clayfield College Foundation, I’d like to thank our entire community for getting behind our major fundraising program for the year. Your generosity amounted to a record $311,888 being raised in only 12 hours to support important projects at Clayfield College.

 

When we were planning Giving Day, we were encouraged by the positive feedback from the community, but we never expected to triple our initial goal. Reaching this incredible amount would not have been possible without our important matching donors, both those that wish to remain anonymous plus:

Their generosity set the foundation for a record number of individual donors during the 12 hours, with 276 people contributing. 

 

This enormous total will allow the foundation to bring forward some of the planned projects at the school. Some of these include seed funding for a Learn to Swim pool, further upgrade work at the boarding house and continued upgrades to facilities as we enter a new period to become the leading co-educational school in Brisbane. 

 

The Foundation Board would like to express our sincere gratitude to Foundation Manager Meg Graham, The Old Collegians, the P & F, members of staff and students who helped make Giving Day a huge success. This hard work of this team, along with your generosity, will allow Clayfield College’s Light to Shine into 2023 as we commence and complete important capital projects and provide life-changing scholarship opportunities.
