Library

The Library has been very busy with Library and Information Week, National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS), Reconciliation Week and Scholastic Book Fair.  All primary students came to the hall to hear the NSS book 'Family Tree' by Josh Pyke be read by Gabrielle Wang - Australian Childrens Laureatte for 2022. Each class put on a short performance of songs they had been learning in music.

The primary students came to the library to learn about Reconciliation Week and help make collaborative dot mosaic banners for the windows. They also made our Macleod 'Family Tree' craft which shows where they were born and the indigenous name of the Wurundjeri country where we go to school.

We had lots of excited students visit the book fair, and thank you to everyone that purchased items. We will be purchasing some new books with the money raised.

Scholastic Book Club

Scholastic Book Fair is always an enjoyable time for students to come, browse and look at fabulous books. With loads of books on offer, they took their wish lists home and have supported the Library Literacy programs with their purchases.

National Simultaneous Storytime 'Family Tree'

National Simultaneous Storytime was delightful with the book Family Tree being read by the Australian Childrens Laureate, Gabrielle Wang. The primary students put on a great showcase of songs they had learnt in music and we all had a good dance at the end.

Library & Reconciliation Week Craft Activity

The book for National Simulaneous Storytime was Family Tree by Josh Pike. Primary students enjoyed the 'Family Tree' activity to help us build our own Macleod College family tree display in the library. They also assisted with a collaborative 'Reconciliation Week' dot mosaic that will be put up in the front windows of the Library.
