Stretch your creative muscles and you could share in more than $3000 worth of prizes in the Melton City Libraries short story competition. The annual short story competition is a great opportunity for budding writers of all ages to showcase their talents and have their work reviewed by popular authors. Your short story can be given in any format including text, illustration, video, verse, voice or a combination of any of the above.

 

Written entries should be no more than 1500 words for juniors and young adults. For other story formats, aim for something that takes no more than 5 minutes to experience.

 

1st Prize - $300

2nd Prize - $200

3rd Prize - $100 

 

Entries Close: Monday 15th August 2022. 

All entries to be submitted via the Melton Library website.


Study Hall

Study Hall is our after school homework club. Students can use this time to study, research, use computers, reading, and borrow books. 

The Library is open after school each day until 5:00pm.


 

Premiers' Reading Challenge

It is great to see students actively participating in this years' Premiers' Reading Challenge. A number of students are very close to completing the 15 books required to complete the challenge. Certificates and Prizes will be given to students when the challenge finishes in September. 

 

Students can collect their PRC login codes from Library Staff.
