ZOO YOUTH LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

Caitlin and Sophie have spent part of their Term 2 holidays working with their Zoo Youth Leadership team. They visited St Kilda pier where they learned about the Little Penguins and the structures that they have made into their homes. They acted as citizen scientists and collected data about the biodiversity of shells and along with their team, both Caitlin and Sophie conducted a waste audit looking at microplastics found on the beach. Why not check out this ABC iview clip “Meet the Penguins” to find out more about the Little Penguins, or have a chat with Caitlin and Sophie about the wonderful work they have been doing.
