Principal's message

Dear Parents/Carers,

I want to thank the staff for ending Term 2, which has been an extremely challenging one on such a high for our students. Seeing so many of our students head off to the Lighthouse Theatre to see the production of Annie Jr delivered by Warrnambool's Primary Performers has been brilliant. The conversations I'm hearing from students about the show are so good. This has been amplified even more by having five Jamo students in the production.

We congratulate Clancy, Greta, Parmin, Helena and Jack, firstly for auditioning and being selected for their roles but also performing in front of a huge audience. Now that's what I call moving outside your comfort zone. All of you have done such a fantastic job and as a school, we are incredibly proud of what you have all achieved.

I look forward to talking to you about your experience in Term 3. As we know, getting up in front of people and performing, whether acting, playing an instrument, singing, or public speaking, doesn't just happen and is not easy for many people. That is why I am such a massive fan of the structure of our assemblies. They are student-led and provide opportunities for all our students to shine.

Below are a few pics of our fabulous students in the production Annie. Unfortunately, Helena was unwell this morning and missed the pic, so we put one in of her after the cross country instead.

I have also attached pictures of how our Year 1 students are finishing off Term 2. How good is that?

As I said at the beginning, this term has been a considerable challenge for us all, with student and staff sickness and an all-time staff shortage across the state. A sincere thank you to all the staff, students and parents and carers for their work, consideration, flexibility and support over the term. It is greatly appreciated.

Have a superb break, everyone!

We cant wait to see you all back on Monday 11th July for an amazing Term 3!
