OSHC @ Home Activity Packs

The OSHC team is missing having students at after school care but that doesn't mean we cant have fun together! TheirCare have created 'OSHC @ Home' activity packs available for students enrolled in after school care and holiday program to do during the remote learning period.

Similar to the pack developed in Term 2, it includes simple activities students can do at home including sensory, cooking and craft activities. The activities include:

  • Fizzy cloud dough experiment
  • Homemade bubbles
  • Puffy paint craft
  • Magic milk science experiment
  • Apple roses recipe
  • Colouring pages

Most resources you need for the activities will be provided in the pack however you will require some basic pantry ingredients such as oil, vinegar, sugar, dish soap etc.

If your child is enrolled with TheirCare and would like to receive a pack please contact Rebekah/Amy on 0476 004 524.

  1. Preheat the oven to 170 degrees. Line three 12-hole mini muffin pans with 28 paper cases.
  2. Beat the butter, egg, vanilla, sugar, flour, cocoa and milk in a bowl with an electric mixer on low speed for 1 minute or until ingredients are combined. Increase speed to medium and beat for 4 minutes or until mixture has changed to a paler colour.

  4. Bake the cupcakes for 14-15 minutes or until cooked through. Leave the cupcakes in the pan for 5 minutes before turning, top side up onto a wire rack to cook.
  5. Make the butter scream icing by beating the butter, icing sugar and milk in a small bowl with an electric mixer until combined.
  6. Spoon buttercream icing into a large piping bag fitted with a large plain tube. Pipe the icing on top of each cupcake, top with Tiny Teddy and dust with the extra cocoa.
