Parents and Friends Association

A friendly message to all to keep “busy”, “stay safe” and “stay well”.  We are sending lots of virtual hugs to let the school community know that we are thinking of everyone.  Hopefully the next few weeks will fly by and Spring will bring good tidings for all.

Next Meeting

The PFA will hold its next monthly virtual meeting on Monday, August 24, 2020 at 7.30pm.  If any new members of the school community would like to join in please email Aban at aban2309@yahoo.com and we will very happily add you on to the distribution list.

Easy “Brodo” Chicken Risoni (Courtesy: Ariane Joordens)

  • Bring 1 Litre of chicken stock to the boil in a medium/big sized pot.
  • Add 1½ to 2 cups of Risoni (or Orzo) and cook for around 11 minutes.
  • Take off stove, put lid on and let the Risoni expand for a few minutes.
  • Add pieces of shredded roast chicken (leftover BBQ is ideal and use around 2 chicken breasts).
  • Add pieces of frozen spinach or fresh baby spinach.
  • Add 1 cup of parmesan cheese.
  • Season with salt & pepper.
  • Add any other vegetables you like (such as fried mushrooms).
  • Stir together and you are good to go.

 

Perfect comfort food on a cold day.
