This term, students from Room 23 have been learning about kites. Students have learnt about the history of kites, kite festivals, and how to fly a kite. Part of the research also included what materials would be suitable, as well as safety tips for flying a kite. Students are also working with Michelle Forest to create a video on 'How to Make an Origami Kite'. During the kite construction stage, students had to make their kite, fly it, then modify their design to make it fly more effectively.
