GROW Program

Learn new skills and develop confidence in a safe and friendly community. We provide training for clients with a disability in a wide range of areas including:

  • Life skills
  • Social skills and friendship
  • Communication and leadership
  • Travel training
  • Numeracy and literacy
  • Digital technology
  • University
  • WallaraTV
  • Horticulture
  • Retail
  • Hospitality and more

All our GROW programs are developed by our Education Manager and designed to encourage improvement and growth. We see ourselves as adult educators and are often a pathway to TAFE. Low Support Groups - ratios 1:4, 1:5 or more.

Work Program

We take a pathways approach to work that includes work experience, volunteering and finding your strengths. All work programs are capacity building and undertaken in a combination of small groups and 1:1. Work ready programs typically run for two years.

  • Low Support Groups - ratios 1:4, 1:5 or more
  • Capacity Building

Supported employment opportunities are available in Logistics, Horticulture and Hospitality. Wallara Australia is an Australian Disability Enterprise located across south-east Melbourne. Our largest supported workplace is our Logistics 8000m2 state of the art factory with heating and cooling year round. Supported employees learn work skills in the areas of pick and pack, 3PL xxx and take great pride in their work contribution.

 

Sages Cottage Farm offers social enterprise opportunities in the Harvest Café.

 

Wallara Commercial Land and Garden Care provides opportunities for supported employment in commercial garden maintenance throughout the south-east.

Alfred Health Online Carer Events Program

Welcome to the August 2020 Alfred Health Carer Services Online Events Program. Due to COVID -19 restrictions continuing, our face to face events are still on hold. 

 

We are pleased to present an alternative online events program. The program includes a variety of carer only workshops and activities that you can do right in the comfort of your own home. 

You will mostly need a smart phone or computer with internet to access these classes.
