A message from the Student Representative Council
The end of Term 3 saw the opportunity for fresh faces and ideas to be involved in the Student Representative Council. Students self-nominated and then it was put to their peers to identify two leaders from each year group. This year, the SRC is structured a little differently to past years with the new positions of President, Vice President and Media Officer.
On the final Tuesday of the term, the old SRC met with the new to discuss goals, progress and hand over current activities. The new SRC, a mix of new and old members, all super eager, energised and excited to increase student voice within the school. On our first meeting in Week 2, we voted in positions, myself as President, Tom Kiss as Vice Present, Mac Webster as Secretary and Ellen Arundell as Treasurer. Ellen and Mac will also be our Media Officers.
Although plans of action are in the early stages of formation, we would like to share with you one of our progressing ideas. Coming soon to you is the ‘KWS Cam’, a fortnightly short video that features interviews with students about events occurring around the school at the time. This will be posted on the school’s social media sites. With this, we hope to strengthen communication and bonds with the school community by keeping friends and family all within the loop of student life! Now, without further ado, I would like to introduce the current SRC team!
Year 12: Tom Kiss and Lizzie Kwa
Year 10: Ellen Arundell and Mack Webster
Year 9: Fletcher Smith and Hugh Thompson
Year 8: Halle Doyle and Ed Southwell
Year 7: Lily Bruce and George Hogg
We will keep you posted on our projects and adventures.
Lizzie Kwa
President of the SRC
