School Council Meeting - President's Report

School Council meeting was held on Monday 19 October 2020 in which the following matters were discussed:

 

  • Welcomed Flora Nixon to the Board as new Assistant Principal
  • School Council Protocols - School councils play a key role in Victorian government schools and being a member of the school council is a rewarding and challenging experience. Acting as a team, council supports the principal to provide the best possible educational outcomes for students. A well informed and effective school council strengthens community confidence in the school and helps to protect and build the school’s reputation.
    • To promote our School Council the following has been put in place:
      • On the school website within “Our School”, there is now a link to School Council. This link outlines:
  • Return to School Update
  • Student Enrolment and Staffing
    • Current enrolment of the school is 462 Students
  • 2021 Parent Payments
  • Watsonia PS Oval
  • Student Representative Council
  • Concord School Policies
    • Hire of School Facilities was ratified

 

Next School Council Meeting – 16 November 2020

School Photo Day 

School Photo Day will go ahead as scheduled on November 9th for both Watsonia and Bundoora Campus's.  As per DET guidelines photos will be taken outside.  

Uniform Shop

New arrangements have been made to the running of the uniform shop in light of the current restrictions in place at Concord School. The shop will continue to operate throughout the term however we will only be taking orders via phone or form.

 

Please see the uniform order forms below, which can be sent into the office with your child or via school emails concord.sch@education.vic.gov.au

 

Alternatively, please feel free to contact the Bundoora Campus Office to place the order over the phone  on 9467 3972. All orders will be sent home with your child. If there are any issues with the order such as sizing we will be happy to provide an exchange.

How to enrol:

Their Care support is available during office hours if required on 1300 072 410.

 

Banyule Youth Services

Banyule Youth Services are offering a number of virtual workshops on topics that assist with the wellbeing of our youth. See the attached brochure for more information.

Rawcus 'Dance it out' Zoom Sessions

 

Dance it Out is a series of free dance sessions online with Rawcus. For the month of August audiences can hop on zoom and dance with Rawcus Ensemble of disabled and non-disabled dancers.

It will be inclusive, celebratory and fun. We’ll say hi, we’ll stretch, we’ll dance.
