Bundoora Campus Clubs

There are many good reasons to have lunchtime clubs at Concord School. Meeting new people, doing an activity students enjoy, as well as finding purposeful activity over the lunchtime period, are all positive reasons.

The Student Representative Council are the group that initiates these clubs and staff have volunteered their lunchbreak to run them.

Movie Club, Play Based Club, School Band, Lego & Craft, Minecraft, Dance, Library, Basketball, ICT, The Arts, are currently offered.

If your child is keen to join one of these lunchtime clubs, encourage them to ask their teacher. I am sure there will be room.

Bus reminders

  • Please contact the bus supervisor concerned directly if a morning pick up or afternoon drop off needs to be cancelled because of absence/illness etc.
  • Please contact the school office and give at least 24 hours’ notice (unless there is an emergency) if the student’s travel arrangements are to be changed.
  • Students are only permitted to travel on one bus. Exceptions may be made on a term by term arrangement providing there is sufficient capacity on both buses.
  • The transport coordinator needs to be notified of any change of address at least 7 days prior to any bus change taking place

This will help a great deal with the smooth running of the buses.

NDIS Speech and Occupational Therapy requests

Concord School employs Speech Pathologists and Occupational Therapists to support our students and their programs at school. Our therapists are increasingly being asked to provide assessments, reports or letters for students as part of the student’s NDIS application, plan review or appeal.

Unfortunately, our therapy staff simply do not have the time to meet such requests and it is out of scope of their current roles. They can only provide a copy of any previous assessment and reports done at school as part of the student’s Program for Students with Disability funding application. Our therapy staff’s priority is to work with the students and teachers within Concord School. Parents and carers are advised to include a review of therapy services into plans in conjunction with existing external supports.

We are however able to provide limited advice around NDIS plans for families. Please contact Sharon Ouliaris or Jesse Donaldson at Concord School should you need support or guidance.
