Every Day Counts @ DSC

At Doncaster Secondary College, we are excited about welcoming all our students back to onsite learning. We would like to promote the message that Every Day Counts at school.

We understand that a change in routine may provide a challenge for some students. We, therefore, encourage any student who is apprehensive about returning to school to seek support from DSC staff.

We've compiled some of our Top Attendance Tips for Parents and Carers below - scroll through to see each tip.

Attending all day, every day helps students to build there learning and maintain strong social connections with their friends and teachers.

PSW Uniform Stores Open

With the State Government’s exciting announcement of the easing of our lockdown restrictions, all of the metro Melbourne PSW stores, including the Kew East store, are now open for all parents for their uniform needs.  COVID-safe measures are in place in every store, which includes limiting the number of people allowed in-store with social distancing.

2020 Yearbook Cornucopia

I am pleased to inform you that we will be expecting delivery of the 2020 Yearbook Cornucopia in early December. We have captured many wonderful moments of our students and it would be great for the school community to share this. This will be a unique edition, as this year has been very different from the rest. It would be a shame to miss this opportunity to purchase a copy. Payment of $25.00 can be made through Compass or at the school front office by the Friday, 11 December.

Red Frogs Australia: free parent info webinar

Red Frogs Australia is hosting a free webinar next Thursday, 5th November at 7.00 pm for parents and carers of Year 12 students in Victoria. It will explore how school leavers might choose to celebrate (with or without schoolies) and provide some tips on how to be informed and support your teen.

It's been a tough navigating the year and facing challenges associated with COVID-19, like social distancing, restrictions and remote learning. Red Frogs Australia wants to provide information on how to support teens to transition out of completing their time at school and move on to their next chapter.
