Design and Technology Week 2020

Congratulations to all of the students who participated in Design and Technology Week 2020. The daily questions of the day certainly challenged you all to think outside of the ordinary. A competition ran, promoting sustainability in design and we had many amazing entries, from upcycled jewellery to full outfits. A few special mentions go out to the following students for their ingenuity: Scarlett Cuthbertson Yr12 and Debbie Cheung Yr7. The winners of the coveted Design and Technology Week prizes were: Arabella Rowlands-Copley for the most innovative and outstanding product and Zoe Tregloan-Dunn for the most inventive product. These students demonstrated highly creative use of found materials and are bound to be designers to watch out for in the future. In addition to the sustainability competition students also got involved in the Try for 5 initiate as part of this years National Nutrition Week. With the aim being to increase students vegetable consumption to the recommended 5 serves per day. We saw some amazing dishes entered, ranging from avocado salad to homemade pita with all the accompaniments. A massive congratulations to our winners Yasmine Iles & Chloe McCormick!
