'Always Was, Always Will Be’

This week in Room 2, we learnt about NAIDOC week, its purpose and had discussions around the history of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in Australia. 

For this particular task, students were given a template of the Aboriginal flag. They used coloured card and ripped out pictures from old magazines that had shades of red, black and yellow. They then stuck the pieces onto the correct section of the flag, creating a collage effect. Students wrote about what the colours on the flag represent.
