Years Five/Six News

Oral Literacy

Students have enjoyed learning about the protocols of debating over the last few weeks. Debates have been conducted in classrooms giving students an opportunity to put into practice what they have learnt. Over the next couple of weeks, Year Five students will be preparing to deliver their leadership speeches. We very much look forward to hearing these.  Year Sixes will be working on a short graduation speech to reflect on their years at primary school.

Transition

Last week Year Six students attending Mt Rowan Secondary and Ballarat High School participated in virtual information sessions regarding their respective schools. We encourage all parents/ carers to discuss what was presented with their students. If you have any concerns or queries regarding  transition, please contact us.

Bookweek Thankyou

We would like to thank the Year Six students for their effort in conducting virtual lessons on shortlisted books to celebrate Bookweek 2020. They did a fabulous job under difficult circumstances and we are very proud of how they planned for and delivered the activities which were very much enjoyed by the younger students.
