Student achievements

Congratulations to the following students:

Emily Walter (Year 10), who has taken home gold in the National History Challenge as the Tasmanian winner for the Year 10 level.

The research-based competition gives students a chance to be an historian, researching world history, examining Australia’s past, investigating their community or exploring their own roots. Read more about our students' participation in the National History Challenge in 'latest news'.

Congratulations to the following students who have been awarded silver and gold CSIRO CREST (Creativity in Research, Engineering, Science and Technology) Awards for their high-level open-ended science and technology investigations:

Silver Crest Science: Ella Booth, Ella Scott, Laura Pennicott and Hannah Pickrell.

Gold Crest Science: Zoe Brown, Amelie Cox, Caitlin Marr, Emily Walter and Eve Tsolakidis.

Gold Crest Technology: Eliza Gurney and Adele Harman.

This is a significant achievement as only a select number of awards are issued nationally each year.

Our school is currently ranked among the top three CREST schools in Australia, which is a testament to the dedication and passion that our students and teachers have for STEM.
