What is indie? Indie is an aesthetic that tiktok made popular. It’s basically alt tik tok but with a more colorful twist. kidcore is sometimes confused with indie they’re almost the same but indie has less of a‘kid style’ and more of a vintage bright type style. They’re pro-choice,BLM,f trump,acab, eat the rich,and equal rights for all.

Alt TikTok is basically a side of TikTok that is like the good side of TikTok, it includes punks, people who love music, fashion, and artsy stuff.

Kidcore is an aesthetic that centers around bright colours, icons from the ’90s and many other kiddy themes and stuff. The aesthetic normally is surrounded by rainbows and many other colours like that.

They have three types of hair styles. One of the hair styles includes beads in their hair, the colour of the beads are normally vibrant colours and very bright colours to make their hair look colourful as well. The other hair style, they dye the parts of their hair that are parted from the rest of their hair, they either bleach them or just dye them a colour that they would like or would suit their hair colour. The last one is where they braid their parted hair normally which would be at the front side of their faces. They would also add hair pins to their hair styles to make their hair seem more brighter.

The clothing style is a mix between y2k and kidcore. Most of the clothes from this aesthetic are found in thrift stores and online shops like Depop. Depop is an online store where you can find all types of clothes sold by different people nearby. They usually have long baggy pants a colorful croptop a small hello kitty or colored handbag nike air forces either painted or beaded and some handmade bracelets with quotes.

A common thing they use for photos is a fish eye lens. It gives the photo a circled look making it seem like the photo was taken on an old fashioned camera. Another thing used on indie photos is high saturation making everything look more vibrant and colorful.
