Classroom News

Room 7
Room 7 has had a fantastic start to Term 4 and back to onsite learning. We have enjoyed participating in the SAKG program by going down to the garden and watering and planting some vegetables while also being able to cook in the kid's kitchen. Our favourite recipe was the quesadillas! The student's in room 7 are really enjoying their specialist classes Art, STEAM and P.E. Our new student Neel has settled into our classroom well and has made many friends. Everyone is very happy to be back in the classroom, socialising and playing with each other. Room 7 students have enjoyed sensory play with shaving cream and playdough in our down time at the end of the day, it has been great to see everyone getting along. We are all looking forward to the rest of Term 4 and all the special activities we have planned.
Room 16
It has been wonderful returning to school to see everyone and all their friends at JSA. The class has enjoyed doing Music with Catherine. They have been doing drumming which is Mason's favourite! In the Kitchen Garden we made salad sandwiches. Out in the garden we helped pull out some celery and silverbeet to make room for some new plants. Angelina enjoys coming out into the garden to help water the plants.
In steam the students enjoyed making bubbles by blowing in a straw. David and Abdullah really enjoyed making the bubbles and then popping them. Last week the students made rainbows using cups of coloured water and paper towels. Katarina enjoyed looking at the rainbow and colouring in her own rainbow.
Back in the room we enjoyed reading Cat in the Hat for Book week and dressing up. Liam came as Woody and found Nafiz from Room 17 dressed as Buzz Lightyear. They both enjoyed listening to the story being read in the afternoon. Thanks Sara!
We are looking forward to dressing up for Halloween this Friday and taking part in a spooky scavenger hunt.
This year has been a challenging year but it has shown us how to be creative and find new ways to spend time with our family. We are looking forward to the rest of this term and the adventures that happen along the way.
