IMAX/Museum Excursion

Last week, we watched a fabulous short film about Antarctica. Luckily the weather was good to us, finally, and we were able to enjoy lunch in the park. We had some free exploration of the museum and enjoyed being able to get out and about again. Many thanks to the parent helpers who attended on the day.

DISPLAN

Yesterday we held a whole school evacuation onto the Vermont Oval. Each year we practice these to ensure our students know procedures for emergency situations should they arise. We were impressed with the students’ calm approach to moving out of the school.

Parent Helpers

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our amazing parents who have volunteered this year to assist us with camps and various excursions. We understand that this takes time out of your already busy schedule and some of you have taken leave to assist us. These activities cannot run without your ongoing support and we are truly grateful for this.

Graduation Disco

On Monday 5th December, all students will have the opportunity to attend the Graduation Disco in the stadium. This will be a gold coin donation event and students will be allowed to wear free dress on this day. Please ensure all tshirts/tops are sunsmart and school hats will still be required.

Congratulations to Harvey and Miller

Congratulations to Miller from 6AS, who competed today in the School Sport Victoria State Finals for golf. In the Eastern Region Finals last week, Miller finished 2nd with an incredible 40 for 9 holes, just one stroke behind the winner. This is an amazing achievement – well done Miller!

Harvey from 6JS competed in the Australian National BMX Championships last week and was a hot favourite to win. Fate was not on his side though and he crashed heavily in his first event. Harvey carried an injured shoulder into his last event, the Cruiser 24inch. With grit and determination, Harvey pedalled his way to victory to be crowned the Australian 11/12 year old boys champion in the 24 inch Cruiser event. Well done Harvey!

Drama Group

Well done to the Level 4 students who presented their first performance as part of Drama Club. The play was called The Toys. All students across the school were able to watch the performance last week. The Drama Club are to be congratulated on all 3 performances on the day. It was great to see them dressed up, well prepared and enthusiastic to show off their talents.
