CELEBRATING OUR FAITH

Holy Week and Easter
Easter is a great reminder that Christ died and rose once and for all and for each one of us. His death and resurrection can transform our lives as we endeavour to live lives that know the freedom of goodness – lives that have love for our neighbour, lives that respect all creation, lives that restore hope and mercy.
This Sunday, is Passion or Palm Sunday. It marks the end of the season of Lent and the beginning of Holy Week. Holy Week is holy precisely because it is time that is set apart for us to focus on how we are spiritually renewed. It is holy time to spend with Jesus, to unclutter our mind, lay down our burdens, and renew our faith in Jesus.
I will leave the celebration of Jesus' resurrection to after the school holidays!
Here is a Holy Week prayer:
Class Masses
Over the last two week 4D and Year 7 have led stage Masses at Sacred Heart Church. It has been wonderful to have the students back in the church to celebrate Mass. Thank you to all families members and parishioners who have attended. Thank you and well done to all the students who read and participated in the celebration.
Confirmation
The Sacrament of Confirmation will be on Sunday 29 May at the 9:00am Mass.
Thank you to those who were able to attend one of the two meetings held last week. Please remember to send in the information forms to school. This weekend is another enrolment weekend for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Remember to give your signed enrolment card to Fr James after Mass.
