The school will be marching in the ANZAC Day parade on April 25th. We will meet at 10:15am ready for the march at 10:30am at the Gaukrogers corner. Students are to wear their full summer uniform and hat. We are hoping this goes to plan as we have not been able to march for two years. Our school captains will lay a wreath at the ceremony at 11am at the cenotaph. Updates regarding this will be sent on Compass and Facebook on the weekend prior to ANZAC day. We would love to have as many students as we could so all are welcome!
We have minimised the number of school events this week due to the impact on Covid 19 on our school. We have a large number of students away and a number of staff members. We hope by having students stay within their class groups and not joining together with the wider community we can help stop the spread. The staff have returned to wearing masks indoors this week and we have strongly encouraged secondary students to do the same. We are continuing with increased cleaning, ventilation and sanitising.
From Term 2 students may wear either their summer or winter uniform. Winter uniform is compulsory from June 1 until September 1. A reminder that the students should not wear a combination of both uniforms - it is one or the other.
Our 2022 school photos will be taken on Monday May 2 and Tuesday May 3. All students must be in their summer uniform for these photos. Envelopes for payment have been sent home today with students. If you would like a family photo envelopes to order are available at the Front Office. All orders and payments must be returned to school by Friday 29 April.
Thank you to all our families who are making a concerted effort to explain their children's absences. It is a legal requirement that parents notify the school within 7 days of a child's absence regarding the nature of the absence. Letters have been sent to families where these absences have not be explained. Please attend to this before the end of term so our records can be accurate.

I would like to wish everyone a very happy Easter and a safe and relaxing holiday from school. It has been great this term to see a return to many of our normal activites such as family conferences, sport and visitors back into the school. Our staff have worked hard at establishing strong routines for learning and behaviour and our students respond positively. I have had a number of complimentary comments about the welcoming nature of our school and the effort our staff and students put into their learning. I truly hope that we can return healthy and well in Term 2 to continue the good work that we have all started.
Thanks to our families for your support of our school!
